The walk is as near the Wadsworth Parish Boundary as existing footpaths permit and is one of the longest and most beautiful in the country
The walk is approximately 21 miles long and is divided into four sections, any one of which could constitute a separate walk. Each section ends on a road to facilitate check points and refreshment stops

The walk takes in some of the most spectacular scenery in the South Pennines passing through the wooded valleys of Hardcastle Craggs with its rocky ravines and tumbling streams and the commanding heights of the Luddenden valley. In walkers' terms, the going is described as "moderately difficult".
Advance entry fee is £6.00, and £8.00 on the day (this includes a packed lunch and drinks at checkpoints). Application Forms should be competed and returned with a cheque and SAE. Limited parking is available at this point. Hebden Bridge Railway station is a short walk or bus ride away.
Check in is between 0800 and 9.15 am on Sunday 10th June 2007 at Signature Rugs on Valley Road, Hebden Bridge
