Charity WalkersThe walk is as near the Wadsworth Parish Boundary as existing footpaths permit and is one of the longest and most beautiful in the country

This year Hebden Bridge Rotary Club has widened the scope of the Annual Boundary Walk by organising it into shorter sections to encourage local walking groups and families to take part as well as the long distance walkers who do the whole route.

There will be the following options:

  • Start at  Hebden Bridge then up on to Midgley Moor, Luddenden Dean, Limers Gate to Keighley Road, Lumb Falls, Walshaw Dean reservoirs, Widdop, Hardcastle Crags and back to Hebden Bridge, a total distance of 21 miles. This is the full Boundary Walk

  • Start at Hebden Bridge and walk to the checkpoint at Keighley Road where there will be transport back to Hebden Bridge. Total distance approx 9 miles

  • Start at Hebden Bridge and walk to the checkpoint at Widdop where there will be transport back to Hebden Bridge.    Total distance approx 16.5 miles

  • Transport provided from Hebden  Bridge to Widdop and walk down the beautiful Hardcastle Crags wooded valley to Hebden Bridge.   Total distance approx 4.5 miles This is the family walk
The walk takes in some of the most spectacular scenery in the South Pennines passing through the wooded valleys of Hardcastle Craggs with its rocky ravines and tumbling streams and the commanding heights of the Luddenden valley. In walkers' terms, the going is described as "moderately difficult".

Entry fees: £6 in advance or £8 on the day for options 1, 2, 3   
Packed lunch and drinks at checkpoints included

There are reduced rates for option 4 which is a family walk .

Advance entry fee is £6.00, and £8.00 on the day (this includes a packed lunch and drinks at checkpoints). Application Forms should be competed and returned with a cheque and SAE. Limited parking is available at this point. Hebden Bridge Railway station is a short walk or bus ride away.

Registration opens at  Signature Carpets Valley Road Hebden Bridge  Open at 8.00 am  Closes at 10.30 am

Please make your cheque payable to ‘The Rotary Club of Hebden Bridge’ and return it with this form and a stamped addressed envelope

The main charity this year is the West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust who are raising funds to construct a respite centre and hospice for children in Calderdale and Kirklees
