This summer, Hebden Bridge Arts Festival is marking the 2008 UN Year of Languages by celebrating the languages of art, music, drama and literature.

In addition to this, the Many Voices series of events marked with this image has been specially programmed to illustrate how language can be used in unusual and sometimes unexpected ways.

Highlights of the 2008 Festival include Phil Jupitas, Ed Byrne, Blake Morrison, drama such The Elephant Man and music from folk to flamenco, including the London Bulgarian Choir.

Postal bookings open on May 5.
The box office on Albert Street opens on June 14.
