A big thank you to everyone who came to the Palestine film show at the Trades Club on Sunday night and to those people who bought tickets knowing they wouldn't be able to get there. The amount of money raised for the village of At-Tuwani has exceeded my wildest expectations.The final figure could well reach £500.

The money will go to the village to help pay for mobile phones - these will enable the farmers and shepherds to keep in touch with the Christian Peacemaker Team so they avoid attacks by Israeli settlers living in a nearby illegal settlement. Some will be used to buy water when the wells and cisterns dry up and tankers have to be hired to transport the water to the village.
