Yesterday, was the sixth anniversary of the disappearance of 13 year old Lindsay Rimer whose body was found in the canal five months later in April 1995. Although it may seem a long time ago, the fact that her murderer has yet to be arrested disturbs many people in Hebden Bridge where the unsolved killing remains a major issue in residents’ minds.
I feel that many of us would like to know what the Police are doing to try to solve this tragic mystery. Obviously, no-one would want them to compromise their investigation but for the past few years at least it seems as though it is only Lindsay’s mother Geri Rimer who is doing anything to keep the case in the public’s view. One would hope that we are still not seeing Geri’s photograph in the paper on the tenth anniversary of her daughter’s unsolved murder.
