Foot and Mouth

I have to agree with Mark Pimlott. Our countryside as a whole is not meant for arable farming. Only in some eastern areas is it possible to do this. Our farming community depend on Livestock farming to survive, without it the rural community as we know it crumbles. This is especialy true in and around Hebden. The land there is all hill farming. Such farmers do not make profits at the moment, and havn't for some time, but by leasing moorland for grouse shooting and other such enterprises it keeps the local economy going. We need to do as much as possible to help, not hinder our farmers at this time.
