Mytholmroyd

I drove through Mytholmroyd on my way to Haworth one Saturday in April having never been there before, and in August I moved from my home in Hertfordshire and job in London to my beautiful house on Burnley Road. So far, I've not really been out and about and met anyone, everything is so different that I'm a bit overwhelmed! For starters, can anyone "brief" me on what to do/not to do, places to go/avoid etc? And are there any metal detectorists out there?
