The New Delight

As we know, the New Delight is now open, and serving excellent beer. It is a testament to those who campaigned to save it, to the Tasker family for putting their money where their mouths are, and for the people who are supporting it with their custom.

It is, however, appropriate to remind all those people who campaigned, that a pub is for life, not just for Christmas. It's no use inviting your friends from Manchester round to your house, turning on the hi-fi and opening a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and celebrating that fact that a community facility has been saved.

You must use the pub. Regularly.

It's a lifetime commitment.
