Christmas Tree Lights Switch On

The Christmas Tree Lights Switch On in Hebden Bridge and the Reet Royd Christmas Do in Mytholmroyd kicks off the festive season in style this coming weekend.

On Saturday 23rd November at 4pm the traditional Christmas Lights Switch On will take place in St George's Square, Hebden Bridge. With the Mayor Karl Boggis, music from the Junior Band and Father Christmas.

The Reet Royd Christmas Do will take place the day before on 22nd November at from 4pm until 8pm. This is a party for the whole village! It starts with the traditional Christmas Lights Switch On in St Michael's Square, Mytholmroyd at 4pm, hosted by the Mayor and with choirs from Cragg Vale School and Burnley Road Academy. Hebden Bridge Junior Band will be providing some festive cheer and of course Father Christmas will be popping in to see the children!

Mulled wine and hot chocolate will also be available to keep you warm in Mytholmroyd. This will be followed by a Christmas Arts market in the Memorial Garden, music from Mr Wilson's Second Liners, fire juggling, puppetry, delicious food and a surprise visit from a very furry guest!
