Hebden Bridge Arts Festival

Arts Festival thanks HebWeb for its support

Festival Director, Helen Meller has written to the HebWeb

"On behalf of the Hebden Bridge Arts Festival board I would like to thank Hebweb for its continued support which helped us attract people to what was a well-supported and we hope entertaining week of events.

"Hebweb's reach into our local online community is critical in the run up to the Festival and there is no doubt in our minds that the coverage we get really helps people engage with our events.

"Hebweb's feature on the first Street Sundaes reminded locals that there was another one the weekend after which saw what we think might be a record turnout of spectators that day as the rain held off. It was a day when we has our biggest ever group of local acts performing which helped us raise £1140 from donations over both Sundaes.

"One of the most vibrant reminders of how locals get behind their festival is the number of trees decorated in such individual and beautiful ways by community groups.

"But none of this would be even remotely possible without our team of hard working local volunteers who continue to give their time to make sure people have a fun and safe time at our events. We are so grateful and humbled that they offer their support every year.

"Finally, thank you to everyone who came along to our events, but we are not resting on our laurels and we are determined to include even more local people in next year's programme."
