The station will operate 24/7 throughout the year and will be available to listen Online and through mobile apps for both iPhone and Android.
Hebden Radio is a commercial station, funded through sponsors and advertisers. They aim to at least break even on running costs within the first year. At this stage, they're taking on volunteers with the future aim to provide paid positions when possible.
National News will be provided by Radio NewsHub, whilst local stories will be sourced from Calderdale Council, relevant emergency services teams and there'll be a section on the website for listeners to submit stories too.
Hebden Radio are completely separate from Recycle Radio, who provide a pop-up radio service from time to time. Hebden Radio will be a full time Station.
If you would like to volunteer at Hebden Radio they have vacancies both on air and behind the scenes, and would love to hear from you. Simply call 01422 847807 or e-mail.
