The final concert of the 2017 Wainsgate concert series before the summer break features the raucous and slightly crazy alt-folk music of Lancaster and Ulverston-based outfit Paddy Garrigan and the Stroller Priests. With songwriter Paddy on guitar, mandolin, banjo, harmonium, piano and lead vocals accompanied by Ben McCabe on drums, French horn and backing vocals and Darren Leadsom on bass and backing vocals, this high-energy trio are making waves throughout the North West as they promote their excellent debut album, ‘I Jumped Ship’.

The band’s live performances match the album’s compelling style and drive. There are great melodies, engaging narrative songs and much more - all delivered with flair and passion. The band recently featured on the BBC6 Saturday night show with pop legend Tom Robinson who commented “Absolutely awesome record, been singing it for days” about the album’s stand out track Sea Monsters.

Paddy McGarrigan and the Stroller Priests perform at Wainsgate Chapel on Sunday July 16 and the concert starts at 3pm. Tickets, which are £10 and £8 with a special price of £3 for under 18s, are only available at the door.
