Sunday, 17 December 2017

Calderdale natural flood management group Slow the Flow will be appearing on new BBC 1 programme ‘Let's Get a Good Thing Going’ at 9.15am on Friday 22nd December.

The show visits five locations across the UK starting on Monday 18th December and introduces four volunteer groups from each one, then it is down to the communities to decide on who should win the cash.

Tune in on Friday 22nd to find out how Slow The Flow did.

If you are unable to catch the morning show, BBC's Look North will feature an interview with Slow the Flow on its pioneering work at Hardcastle Crags at 6.30pm on Thursday 20th December at 6.30pm.

The group's next volunteer day is on Thursday 4th January from 10am to 2pm to give and members of the community the opportunity to get involved, to see what has been done so far to help slow the flow in Calderdale and find out how leaky dams work.
