Late postal deliveries

Thursday, February 5, 2004

Over past couple of weeks, many people have found that their post has not been delivered until the afternoon.

This follows a management re-organisation of rounds since the abolition of second deliveries. Of course, most people in our area did not get a second delivery.

One person who contacted the Hebden Bridge Web said, "Abolishing the second post should have made it possible to deliver post earlier, not later. Like many others, I run a business from home and can't afford to wait until the afternoon to receive my post."

Local postmen have told the Hebweb that they want people to complain. They are very unhapppy with the new arrangements.

The Hebden Bridge Web is urging people to complain by
  • Phoning the Post Office on 08457 223344. We have been advised that for the complaint to be taken seriously we should ask to speak to a line manager or supervisor.
  • Click here to complete an online form on the Post Office website
