Carols at The Crags
Tuesday, December 13, 2005
Come and join the National Trust beneath the stars for an evening of carol singing at Gibson Mill on the Hardcastle Crags estate. Taking place from 5.30 - 7.30pm, Wednesday 21 December musical accompaniment will be provided by the Hebden Bridge Junior Brass Band and the early evening event will be an enchanting way to celebrate the first Christmas at the Mill following its recent reopening in September.
The café will be serving traditional Christmas faire including warm and spicy Wassail Punch, Hot Mince Pies and Christmas Fruit Cake. Programmes, including carol sheets will be on sale for 50p.
The estate recommends travelling to the event by public transport or walking. However, for anyone travelling by car - spaces will need pre-booking for the evening at £10 per car. For further information or to pre-book a car parking space or disabled parking bay please call the estate office on: 01422 844518. The walk to Gibson Mill takes approximately half an hour from the Midgehole Road Car Park. Warm clothing and strong footwear are recommended as are torches or lanterns.
