BIRCHCLIFFE TABLE TOP SALE

Money raised to go Macmillan Nurses and Oxfam's Climate Change fund

Tuesday, 7 July 2009

On Sunday 19th July from 11am - 2pm, everyone is welcome to enjoy tea and delicious home-made cakes and have a rummage through loads of second hand goods in the back alley on Birchcliffe Road, Hebden Bridge (between St John's close and where Birchcliffe Road bends). Look for the bunting!

Everyone in all the houses along the terrace have joined together to give away clothes, toys, books and bric-a-brack to raise money for Macmillan Nurses and Oxfam's Climate Change fund. The project is being organised by the children who live in the row (with a fair amount of help from their families).

As well as table top goodies there'll be home-made sweets and ice-cream, a coconut shy and other games, and a chance to go into a couple of gardens to have a bounce on a 14ft trampoline or enjoy tea and home-made cakes.
This is first time the families on the row have done anything like this and they are hoping to attract lots of people - if it rains, the table tops will be under shelter in the garages so do come along anyway!!
