Heptonstall Bonfire

From Andy M

've just returned from a less than enjoyable morning walk with the dog having been treated to the sight of the field of litter, vomit, bottles and cans that used to be known as the village park before last nights village bonfire at the social club.

I didn't go, so I don't know which group of people were responsible, and I won't point any fingers - I'm sure I can guess though.

A message to the organisers though:

1: Clear it up
2: Don't have a bonfire next year unless you can exert some control over the behaviour of those attending.

You may not have caused the mess but, as organisers, you have a measure of responsibility for the consequences.

ps looking forward to tonight......not.

Words eaten I hope.

A perfectly pleasant night by all accounts. Is Hebden Bridge out of control? I don't think so.

Good! I'm pleased it went off (sorry) all right, and the park was cleared up which I'm also pleased about.

My points stand though. I think I can be justifyably annoyed about something and not be a doom-merchant at the same time thanks!
