There needs to be a prosecution mechanism for cyclists on the canal who don't warn walkers of their approach.

Every time I use the canal now, I have a near miss with a bike despite having adequate eyesight and hearing.

Many cyclists are fine - they ring a bell or call out. However others seem to be hell bent on taking risks, assuming they can squeeze past without warning. Even a call out would help.

Sooner or later there will be a serious accident.
