New Delight

I have read with interest the contributions to the New Delight discussions from Robert Collins, who seems very knowledgeable about the pub. As a regular of the New Delight for many years, and having seen its fortunes rise and fall according to the style of management, I find myself intrigued as to Robert's involvement. I do not recall meeting him in the pub, but as my regular visits have been only once or a twice a week in the last year or so, I may have missed him. Perhaps he would like to share with the Discussion Forum any personal reasons he might have for feeling so strongly that the pub must not be re-opened, when an entire community remembers its recent successes, and looks forward to its revival?
