Calder High Students organise Peace in the Park

Thursday, March 20, 2003

Over 200 Calder High students gathered in Calder Holmes park to demonstrate against the war, and the suspension of 13 students involved in organising the walkout earlier this week. After an hour, they moved to the roadside outside the Memorial Gardens, encouraging passing motorists to "Beep for Peace" - most did. Police supervising the demonstration commended the students for their behaviour.
