Litter in Hebden Royd ?

Added Thursday, 31 May 2007

Following the success of the Hebden Royd Town Council Spring Clean in April more clean up activity has been taking place. Station Rd & Station Rd allotments, Hebden Bridge, Banksfield Estate and the Cuckoo Steps, Hebden Bridge have all received attention. The Delph in Mytholmroyd is also in line for a tidy up following reports from residents.

'This kind of activity follows the Cleaner, Greener, Safer agenda that I am trying to work to in Hebden Royd' said Jason Boom, Environmental Community Warden for Hebden Royd Town Council. 'Coupled with a change in the litter collections in the Parks by Calderdale MBC we are slowly making inroads into this basic request for clean streets and open spaces.'

'It's not just the prominent locations that need attention it's also those alleys and footpaths hidden away that make this such a great part of the world, so if you know of any areas that need attention please let me know. If you are able to lend a hand I'm sure we'll be able to make Hebden Royd an even cleaner, safer and greener place.'
