Artists Needed!

From Elaine Simpson

On Saturday 28th June in Hebden Bridge Big Shed Arts will hold an auction of original art works in a variety of mediums by local and regional artists.

All proceeds from the auction will go towards the start up costs of the Big Shed Arts project to found a multi-functional, non-profit making, community centre for the visual and creative arts in Hebden Bridge for use by the people of the upper Calder Valley. It is intended that the centre should provide studio space for around 30 artists; art education areas and exhibition space with additional areas for community use; which may be used for performance, ceramics, printing, workshops etc.

Big Shed Arts are appealing to all local artists to donate a piece of work, large or small and in any medium, to be sold at the auction and help this exciting venture to succeed.

If you would like to help in this way or would like more information about Big Shed Arts please phone Sue Donnelly on 01422 845330 or email Elaine Simpson at elaine@progress-travel.net
