Riding For The Disabled

Riding For The Disabled at Hebden Bridge Equestrian Centre in Old Town began its new term on Monday September 7th. We are fully booked at the moment, and are very grateful to The Rotary Club whose generous donation has allowed us to buy the following pieces of special equipment.

We now have a memory foam saddle for younger riders, with supports back and front, two sheepskin saddles from Austria, very light and cosy, and a mounting block with steps either side and anti slip treads.

As always, we welcome new volunteers, experienced, or simply enthusiastic, who would enjoy working with our remarkable young riders and horses. Although we have use of an indoor school it can become extremely cold up in Old Town over the winter months, so be prepared, but the rewards really are immense. We start at 4pm on Monday nights and finish around 7pm. Any  support during those times would make a big difference.

We would like to thank all the volunteers who have helped us out in the past. Your support has been invaluable and we hope you will take a look at the website now and then to see how we are progressing.
