Profits to go to the Flood Relief Fund

NOW CANCELLED

Sunday, 1 July 2012

ChasLegendary rocker Chas Hodges, probably best known as one half of Rockney duo Chas ‘n’ Dave is gigging in Hebden Bridge next week.

The star, along with bass guitarist Darren Juniper and drummer Nik Hodges is appearing at the Little Theatre on Friday 13th July and will be playing all of Chas ‘n’ Dave’s greatest hits as well as some classic Rock ‘n’ Roll numbers from the likes of Jerry Lee Lewis and Gene Vincent to name but two.

Chas Hodges has been a professional musician since the age of 16 and has worked with some of the industry’s biggest stars. He was Jerry Lee Lewis’ guitarist in the 60’s, toured with Gene Vincent, joined Cliff Bennett and the Rebel Rousers, supported The Beatles, formed Heads, Hands and Feet with guitarist Albert Lee and briefly became a member of The Beatles in 1983. Chas will be telling the story of exactly how he came to be a Beatle plus many more fascinating insights from the world of Rock ‘n’ Roll during his two hour show which starts at 8pm.

Hebden Bridge Little Theatre is in the process of extending and improving facilities at their Holme Street premises and has already raised a huge amount of funds during their ‘Raise the Roof’ campaign. With electrical work, roof insulation and fixtures still needing completion prior to the facility being fully opened, the theatre members are still busily raising funds. Chas Hodges visit to the theatre next month will help to swell the coffers a little more.

There will be a chance for concert goers to purchase raffle tickets on the night of the gig. All raffle profits go to the Theatre 'Raise the Roof' Fund. The prize will be the chance to meet Chas and the Band in person and receive a signed copy of Chas’ eponymously titled solo album.

So, with only a short time to go until this legendary musician pays a very rare visit to Yorkshire, don’t miss your opportunity to see Chas and his Band in action, help the Little Theatre towards its fundraising goal and get the chance to meet the man himself. Tickets are priced at just £15 and are available online at www.chastickets.co.uk or by calling the promoter, Ann Brown on 0750 877 1922.

All profits from the show itself will go to the Flood Relief Fund.
