Brunswick Street/Melbourne Street
Calderdale MBC Regeneration & Development Dept have recommended that the Council should dispose of the land 'it' owns at Brunswick Street/Melbourne Street at auction in February 2006. They [R&D] have asked that Cabinet make a decision on this at a meeting on the 11th January 2006. R&D have proposed that if a suitable community solution emerges then the land could be removed from the auction, otherwise it should remain up for auction. They have also said that there is nothing to stop the community bidding for this 'development opportunity' at auction.
