Young-Choon Park began playing the piano at four and give her first full recital at the age of seven and played the Beethoven Piano Concerto no 1 with the Seoul Symphony Orchestra at nine. She has become increasingly recognised by critics and has enthralled audiences the world over. Tonight she plays Beethoven’s Sonatas in D minor op.31 No. 2 (‘The Tempest’), in F minor op. 57 (‘Appassionata’) and Schubert’s Sonata in A minor Op. 42 D845.
