Mountain bikes on footpaths

I wonder if Nutclough Woods has been featured on mountain biking blog or guide recently?
The past few weekends have seen really heavy use of the footpath there by mountain bikers. I also noticed that the 'no mountain bikes' sign had been changed and someone has bashed the 'no' bit off.
