Lavena Saltonstall lived at various addresses in Hebden Bridge and almost certainly went to school here but no-one seems sure which school it was.

Yes, the best-known suffragette in Hebden Bridge is Lavena Saltonstall. She lived briefly at Wood Top and went to Hebden Royd Church School. I wrote about her in Rebel Girls (Virago 2006). And we will be visiting her homes on the Votes for Women! suffrage walk, Sunday 19th June, meeting at Hebden Bridge station at 2.15 pm. See you there!
