Anyone know why there's been a power cut for most of the day in Mytholmroyd and with tiny intermittent blackouts across Hebden Bridge today?
Northern Powergrid say it will be back by half 3, but I just wondered what had caused the problem? Hundreds of properties were down apparently.

I'm glad its not just me! I love the nothing reason for the power cut on the Northern Power Grid website - The power cut affecting your property has been caused by a problem on the electricity network that supplies your area.

I just got a call from Amy from Northern Power. The micro power cuts happened each time they replaced one of the large fuses in the main substation.
Not sure why they were faulty, but that was the problem apparently. She says it's all sorted now so we shouldn't be affected by any more.
