Mytholm beech tree at risk

There is an application to fell the large and prominent Beech tree in front of Mytholm Court, at the junction of Church Lane and the main road.
For anyone who isn't aware of the application its removal, if approved, will come as a bit of a shock.

That is good news. A big branch fell off and landed on the grass on the 'inside' of the perimeter wall. Children cross this area when walking to school. The branch would have crushed anyone or anything beneath it. Since that happened I have been worried about the enormous branch sticking out over Church Lane. Cars queue below the branch and children walk to and from school on Church Lane. It is never nice to see a tree go but if it is deemed to be a risk it should be cut down asap.
