Betty was a lovely woman. Originally from Collyhurst, Manchester, she really got stuck in to Town Council work and cared about people on the Banksfield estate.

In the year she was Mayor, I travelled with her to our twin town in St Pol and she relished every minute of it as she loved all her year in office and the chance to met so many people.

In her latter years, she had taken up painting and I have one of her pictures on my wall at home.

Betty's spirit was very young so it is a shock she has gone.
The fact she has donated her body to medical science epitomises her generosity and psotive outlook on life.

Condolences to Harry and the family, She will be missed

Betty was a caring warm lady, I met her at Todmorden Art College.

Betty saw many people from all walks of life, I am honoured that she bought chuckles to me in the Art Department.

Rest In Peace Betty.
