Hebden Bridge nominated in BBC Countryfile Magazine Awards

Hebden Bridge has been shortlisted in the 'Britain's favourite market town' category in the BBC Countryfile Magazine Awards 2013.

The 10 nominees in the favourite market town category were selected by travel writer Brigid Benson, who said of Hebden Bridge: "This Bohemian town oozes character. Brass bands, canal boats and markets add to the mix."

The 2013 awards were launched in the August issue of BBC Countryfile Magazine, and feature 10 categories, from conservation projects and best heritage attraction to countryside writers and our finest nature reserves.

The public are now being asked to vote for their rural favourites. Full details can be found on BBC Countryfile Magazine's website, or you can email your votes to awards@countryfile.com.
