The Mytholmroyd Open will kick off a weekend of activities including the Gurgle Splosher, a playful interactive sound sculpture commissioned for ‘Landlines and Watermarks’.

The Art Exhibition will be judged by Stella Mays, winner of the 2011 BBC wildlife artist of the year award, painter and textile artist Kate Lycett, and Francis Charlton who is known for his political and satirical artwork.

Artistic Director Annie Harrison said, "We are looking forward to another exciting weekend.  We are delighted to be showcasing the work of local and national artists, and after the success of last year’s Night Market and Fire Show, we will once again be welcoming all ages to take part in our Festival events."
