Hebden Bridge Picture House remains temporarily closed

Following the government's announcement today, in which Calderdale was placed in tier 3 (and so defined as a 'very high risk' area in terms of Covid-19 infection rates) Hebden Bridge Picture House (HBPH) will remain temporarily closed until further notice. Cinemas are not permitted to operate in tier 3 areas under the new rules which come into force as the national lockdown ends.
All ticket holders that have booked for events in December will receive an automatic refund, as the cinema does not think, based on today's announcement and the lead-time needed to prepare for re-opening a cinema, that they will be able to re-open again in 2020. If you have purchased tickets for a December event, please check your email inboxes (and spam too) for an email from Ticketsource over the coming days for a refund confirmation.
Whilst the cinema remains closed due to the continuing risks of Coronavirus in the local area, Hebden Royd Town Council, owners of the HBPH, want to reassure customers that they will be re-opening the doors in 2021 for their centenary year.
Manager at Hebden Bridge Picture House, Rebekah Fozard, said: "The Picture House has been at the centre of Hebden Bridge's cultural landscape for almost 100 years and we are determined to celebrate this with you all!"
