I have impaired mobility and am getting on in years but am able to walk up to Heptonstall through the woods with a walking pole  However, this is more more hazardous in this weather when the paths are are churned up by cyclists. I ask you to consider the aged and infirm and please stick to the roads.  I was a keen cyclist in my youth and managed to enjoy it without impinging on woodland, wildlife and the less agile. Thank you.
