Open Space 70: Join in!

Hebden Bridge Arts invites everyone to a reception on Thursday 8th December to find out about their 2023 Open Space 70 project

The local charity, which works Calderdale wide, matches professional artists with communities, individuals and groups, using expression through the arts to celebrate the natural world and respond to climate emergency. Its next project, Open Space 70, sees 70 exhibitions, events, performances, workshops and walks happening in borrowed and found spaces in and around Hebden Bridge from 13 to 16 July 2023. The creative work shared will largely be made by Calderdale residents, working with environmental experts and professional artists.

Over the next 8 months Hebden Bridge Arts will be creating opportunities to get involved for both members of partner organisations who support local people, and individuals, offering a public programme of workshops, walks and short courses from the spring. Additionally, on 1 December, six new types of volunteering opportunity will be launched, with the various volunteering roles offering the chance to learn new skills, meet like-minded people, and support this vital community work.

The team at Hebden Bridge Arts invite anyone who would like to find out more and share creative ideas to come along to a reception on Thursday 8 December. The drop-in event is open from 4pm to 7.30pm in the café-bar at Hebden Bridge Town Hall. The Hebden Bridge Arts creative team will be making short presentations every half hour, and trustees will be on hand to answer your questions. Drinks and nibbles provided. Come and be a part of Open Space 70.
