Balmoral Street Sinkhole

The sinkhole appeared at New Year opposite Stubbings School on the site of 1880s housing demolished in the early 70s as part of the General Improvement and Conservation Areas.
On 3rd January, the contractors said it was a 17 feet deep, perfectly round hole. They were trying to work out where the "filling" had gone.
17th January, Together Housing fill the hole with 45 tons of rubble.
