Fundraiser for Calder Grub Hub and Calder Food Support
Friday, 8 August 2025
GrubHub, together with Calder Valley Food Support, have a fundraiser at the Trades Club on 29th August. We hope this will raise awareness of the great work both voluntary groups do in the local community.
The start of September marks a full three years since GrubHub began serving meals to the community at Hope Baptist in the centre of Hebden Bridge.
A team of volunteers prepares freshly cooked vegan food each week consisting of soup, main course and cake/ fruit plus beverages.
Numbers can vary but 50 meals are regularly served. If you've not been please come along and have some delicious food. It's free to everyone and all are welcome. Many families have enjoyed our fare.
It's not just the food though. We provide a warm, friendly. welcoming atmosphere where people can meet. We also distribute food bags prepared by Calder Valley Food Support.
We rely solely on volunteers so if you feel like you would like to get involved please contact us by email here or message through Facebook.
Calder Valley Food Support can be found on Facebook too
The Trades Club fundraiserstarts at 8pm and will have live music from highly talented local artists, headlined by the 844s and supported by Reggie and the Krayfish. There's also some late night dancing with a DJ set from Kate Anstee. Do come along to enjoy the evening and to find out more about these local groups.
