After the sold out show with renowned folk guitarist Martin Simpson, the next gig at Wadsworth Community Centre is an evening of Americana.
Exciting guitarist Jack Blackman, who has previously played at Wadsworth, brings along WLDFLWRS, his collaboration with three established musicians from the Midlands, Wes Finch (bass, vocals), Chris Quirk (drums, vocals) and Jono Wright (guitar, vocals). Musically, we will return to Laurel Canyon with sun drenched harmonies and alt country stylings. Think The Band, Tom Petty, Dylan; whilst respectfully acknowledging the direction of their forebears, WLDFLWRS offer their own distinctive and compelling new sound.
WLDLWRS have played Halifax, London and Birmingham Town Hall in a highly acclaimed recreation of The Band's legendary Last Waltz concert featuring several of their musical friends, including PP Arnold, Nigel Clark (Dodgy) and Chris Helme (Seahorses).
The gig at Wadsworth will be with WLDFLWRS band playing two 45-minute sets and band members supplying the support by playing solo.
Come along in May for a great evening of Americana.
Cask Ales, Pie and Peas served at 7.00pm and at the interval.
